I have a letter with multiple stamps and a portion of the stamps have a odd color vertical stripe, I believe are from a booklet. Can you help me identify if there is an error? Photographs attached.

A lot (I can't say all) of the booklet versions of this issue have these stripes, so it's not uncommon. Here are a few currently for sale:

I don't know enough about how these were printed to know the purpose/cause.

Check the literature for tagging stripes - I think that is what they are

These are Scott 488qs stamps - tagged, WCB

The 488qs is WCB from a booklet single (straight edge at top or bottom) and 488p is WCB from a sheet single.

The complete WCB pane is Scott 488q with selvedge at left and Scott 488qi with selvedge at right.
