I have some covers from the AAT postmarked in 1990. My old Scotts (2003) does not show it. The numbers in the catalogue go from 1989 to 1991 (L78-82). My covers fall into the gap. I have covers postmarked at all four Australian stations. DO THEY HAVE SCOTT NUMBERS NOW? The issue if for a Joint Scientific Cooperation in Antarctica, with Russia. Any help will be appreciated.

For the purposes of being sure we know which stamps/covers you speak of, could you post 1 or 2 images of the covers?

These are the stamps (images courtesy of ebay).

These are a joint issue between Australia and the USSR, not the Australian Antarctic Territory.

I don't know if there were FDCs produced with AAT base cancels.

Hope this helps some

A postmarks shows a location of use, not what entity issued the stamp(s).

AAT stamps as with all but stamps of Great Britain must have the issuing entities name on it (England gets to be IDed by the Monarch Head); thus, AAT stamps will have Australian Antarctic Territory on them.
