First, if this is not the correct forum, please feel free to move it.

I recently picked up this medal and thought I'd share it here since it does depict a postage stamp.

This is a 1969 APNA (Atlantic Provinces Numismatic Association) Spring Rally medal issued to commemorate said rally, which was hosted jointly by the Halifax Coin Club and the Nova Scotia Stamp Club.

The obverse depicts the first Nova Scotia postage stamp, issued in 1851 along with the first Nova Scotia half penny issued in 1823. It was jointly designed by Mitchell MacDonald of the Halifax Coin Club and Collins Baugild of the Nova Scotia Stamp Club.

The reverse features the logo of the APNA.

The medal was struck by the Wellings Mint of Toronto. 200 were struck in bronze, 100 in silver (both with antique finish) and 18 were struck in 22 kt gold. They measure 40.5 mm.
