I have many with the 10 in each corner and blue; only 4 with no numerals, no eagle background and black.

Does anyone know anything about these?

Do I have some error stamps?

The cancellations on the lower stamp suggests it was used to levy a telegraph fee.
A Stämpelmarke or Stempelmarke is a stamp-duty stamp. It would have had multiple purposes.

You will find an example here:

Thank you, NSK.
I understand it was used for general revenue/fee purposes.
However, my question relates to the form of the stamp.
Should the lower one have the corner numerals and background grid?
...or are these truly different stamps?
Top is all blue ink; bottom is black/blue.

What does the back of that 10s stamp look like?

It appears there were different designs. Here is one without the corner numerals but with solud numeral in the oval. All dated 1955.

The back is totally blank.
I notice that the grid work and eagle are applied to the back of the one with numerals.
Do you have examples of any 1955 of the same denomination with and without numerals or gridwork?
Thanks for the pictures!

No, but I read on a German forum part was printed on the back. There is an Austrian catalogue of Fiskalphilatelie that lists these stamps.
