Ten years ago I was blocked by dmstampsinc. It was my first order to him and I asked a question. Never really knew why I was blocked. I also could not send message. Bothered me for years and I would try all to often to purchase. I even tracked him down using same name but on a site unrelated to stamps. He answered me and asked my ebay user name. Never heard from again. Well I just tried putting something in my cart and I am no longer blocked! Thankfully I no longer collect his type of material at least for now so no need to purchase. My record is now clean but the "why" still haunts.

I was also blocked by Georgetownlaw years ago (blocked by nobody else on ebay), and had no idea why. I tried to contact them and never got a reply.

Ortstampman, I believe Georgetownlaw blocks folks that mention his name. He blocked me one time, and I never gave him a second look. He is ( was ) just not worth the trouble

I see being blocked by certain ebay sellers as a badge of honor, for example I am blocked by NYStamps (due to non-transactional reasons). The impact to me? Zero since I would not choose to support them anyway. I do admit that once or twice a year I see a listing from them that interests me, but I can always find other things to spend money on.

Used to have a sales job many moons ago. The sales manager would buy you a steak dinner if you pushed clients hard enough to get kicked out of the house. Wasn't really my cup of tea but I did like steak.
