Here is an 8A that I might purchase. It states position 55R1E and VF.
Would this be graded fine with the left side clipped slightly?
Also it has a flaw in the form of a crease which is seen as the fluid evaporates. What would the crease do to the grade? I am thinking it should be worth $300.00 Your thoughts? Thanks.

It is certainly an A relief from Plate 1E.
It does appear to have a good break in the top line and thus is a nice representative example of Ty IIIA from Plate 1E.

I'll defer on the grading issues, as I mostly stay out of that game. Good luck.

I would probably grade the stamp a 50 or less. For centering it is a 70 at best and really should be called a 50 as the left margin touches part of the design. The crease should cost another 15 to 20 points meaning somewhere in the 30 to 50 category. The SMQ for a Scott 8A in a grade of 50 is $250. This is only a guess and not based on actually seeing the stamp in question.
