I have a George V stamp with a fancy cancel and I need help to ID it? It looks like an official symbol but I have never seen one like this before. I would appreciate any help anyone can give.

Thank you,

joetexu2

Nothing 'fancy' about that cancellation. The Maltese Cross is a traditional cancellation and it was incorporated in this type of cancelling device.

The OP showed an Edward VII stamp, not George V.

And vayolene showed the same type of cancel on both George V and Edward VII stamps. Also, 'Nelson' might have been OP's cancellation.

OP's cancellation is a 1909 one. So, not strange to see it on both.
