United States The 50th Anniversary of the Girl Scouts July 24, 1962 The Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA), commonly called in America as simply the Girl Scouts, is a youth organization founded by Juliette Gordon Low in 1912, for girls in the United States and American girls living abroad. The commemorative stamp, designed by Ward Brackett, portrays an intermediate Girl Scout in uniform, with an American flag in the background.  |

Greece International Scout Congress June 26, 2002 The 36th World Scout Conference was held at Thessaloniki, Greece. A total of 125 countries attended the event. The designs feature navy scout, a scout with the conference emblem, an air scout and cub scouts planting tree, scouts and countryside.  |
