Just noticed the New Zealand stamp says 2d top left and 1d bottom right !

G'day Braveheart, this stamp is a "semi postal" with 2d for postage
and 1d being a charitable surcharge, they are locally known collectively to the NZ collector as "Health"" stamps.

What is of interest to me is the apparent morse code
around the other stamp

Thanks for sharing your scouting items Braveheart and Rod222. I am hopefully signing off on 4 scouts completion of their stamp collecting merit badges next week. It will be even better if they show up at the stamp club meeting tonight.

Well let's hope they turn up Stampedude,
otherwise penalty = loss of toggle?
(Did not Cilla Black have a hit record re the scouts?
I remember her singing something about her toggle)

Perhaps you could start a new thread "Knots on Stamps"
half-hitch, sheep-shank etc etc.

You asked who was a Scout. I was also a Scout, Scouter, Scoutmaster, Dist. Staff, Regional Staff, Jamboree A.S.M., etc. Basically I spent 35+ years with the Scouts. After my 3rd Daughter I just didn't have the time to devote to it. By the way the O.A. isn't earned. You are nominated and voted on by your peer's. I'm a Vigil Honor member of the O.A. Never got the Scout Topical bug though. If you are interested in Scout Stamps you should check out SOSI. It is an International stamp club for collectors of Scouts on Stamps.
