There appears to be interest so this Sunday (11/12/2023) I'll host an exploratory Zoom SCF meeting.

The actual meeting will be at 4PM EDT Eastern USA Time but I'll start the meeting at 3:45PM EDT Eastern USA Time to allow for time to assist anyone who might be having trouble with Zoom.

Please note that we are going to try this on a trial basis and that if it turns out that attendance drops off, we will revisit the feasibility of the meetings.

Zoom Meeting Guidelines
The meetings will be recorded and posted here in this community for anyone to watch and for archival purposes. If anyone desires to attend and remain anonymous, simply change the displayed name in Zoom before joining the meeting. For me, I am going to display my name as Don (51Studebaker) so folks will know my name and SCF handle. If desired, people can also turn off their video and/or mute their own microphones.

I am preemptively asking nicely that we avoid dropping political 'bombs' which are sure to cause drama and derail the meeting. I reserve the right to mute or disconnect anyone who: becomes disruptive, does not remain family friendly, or launches personal attacks.

The meetings will be in English language but please note that Zoom supports using real-time captions in dozens of other languages. So if you do not speak English, you can still understand what is being said.

Remember, included among the primary objectives with these meetings are fellowship and enjoyment.

Meeting Agenda
- Meeting Host Introduction
- Optional Attendee Introductions (introduce yourself if desired)
- Discussion of the Zoom meeting goals and purpose: Group discussion on what they would like to see in future Zoom meetings. Brainstorming ideas for activities, presentations, topics, education How To's, or 'Show and Tells'. Should Zoom meeting have at least one primary topic or should they remain more freeform?
- Discussion on Zoom meeting frequency
- New Business – Opportunity for attendees to bring up any topic they might like to discuss

Did you not just change back from EDT to EST, yesterday?
You might find that many people outside the USA do not understand "EDT" or "EST."

Reminder: Meeting later today, 4PM Eastern Time
Agenda: An informal, 'getting started' meeting

Note: If you might need help with Zoom, be sure to join meeting early and I will help. Please also note that because this meeting link is public, when you first join the meeting you will be put in a 'waiting room'. I'll add you as soon as I notice you.

Don - Is it possible you could invite ALL scf forum members to the monthly meeting via email with the zoom link included and if there's an agenda included. The invite can BCC all but the sender's email address to maintain privacy. Should/may get more active attendees (IMHOP). Today was a good start and great to actually get to see/meet some folks from the forum! - Jim
