Is it normal for the perfs. on this GB series to be 14.5 x 15?
It's a true 15 perf on a Scott 261.

You will find it, actually, is closer to 14 3/4 x 14.
You quote the horizontal gauge first.

The standard gauge for British 'low value' permanent stamps has been 15 x 14, (14 3/4 x 14) since 1910.
One or two exceptions come to mind before the 1980s when some of the lithography Machins were issued with perforation 14.

OK that makes sense. It's slightly larger on on both perf sizes, but within reason.

Thanks!

You will find the horizontal one is between 14 3/4 and 15, being closer to the former and the vertical one is almost halfway between 14 and 14 1/4.

The gauge was changed from 14 that had been the standard gauge from the 1850s.
