This stamp is oddly shaped and imperforate.

It looks like the July 1875 issue - 10 pfennig carmine.

It has a nice postmark.

Has someone just taken the scissors to it, or is there another explanation?

It looks like a cutout from postal stationery, sort of cut to shape?

It looks like the cover but the stamp is as thin as a normal stamp.

That cover is an envelope so the imprinted stamp would be as thin as a normal stamp.
