When was this stamp issued? By North Vietnam? Or the post-1975 Vietnam?
(Yes, I could look it up in a catalog, but I don't have access to catalogs at this time.)

Stamp Identifier app says it was issued on 12/14/1976. Scott # Vietnam 846.

There is also a 12 xu (in blue), Scott #847.

Thank you both!
BTW: I started looking in Stampworld, but the constant blizzard of ads made me give up there.

EdziuMM Hello

In general, the inscription on North Vietnamese stamps reads: Viet-Nam Dan Chu Cong Hoa ("Democratic Republic of Vietnam").

On South Vietnamese stamps the inscription reads: Viet-Nam Cong Hoa ("Republic of Vietnam").

After unification of Vietnam, from July 2, 1976, the inscription reads Viet Nam – Buu Chinh ("Vietnam Post") or just Viet Nam

Edzium and everyone else,

As Zebraman mentions above, the Stamp Identifier app for your phone is a wonderful tool that EVERY WW collector can use. It is basically a reverse image tool for stamps.
