Most of us will be familiar with the one-country 'on Steiner pages' threads by rod222. It has been some time since he posted here. He had started a thread showing stamps issued by my own country.
This thread shows more Dutch stamps but on pages published by the Dutch publishing house 'Uitgeverij DAVO,' of Deventer. The word 'uitgevrij' is Dutch for 'publishing house.' In 1945, it published its first album 'NEDERLANDSCHE POSTZEGELS IN DEN OORLOG' (Dutch postage stamps during the war).
Today, DAVO publishes a range of one-country albums. Their albums, also, have been published under the Stanley Gibbons brand.
Davo was an eighth-century monk, who, according to the Benedictine Hucbald, gave his name to the town of Deventer.
The pages are those from an older DAVO 'Cristal' album. This predecessor of the current 'LUXE' pre-printed album had crystal-clear mounts.

The annotations are a reminder that my father bought me sets of stamps at the stamp and coin market held every Sunday morning under the arches of the Plaza Mayor in Madrid.
