I don't have any physical duck stamps to answer this question, so am asking here. Are the stamps on the souvenir sheets exactly the same as the ones from the individual sheet of 20? The USPS site only sells the individual stamps in a sheet of 20 and I'm not buying that many. But my album has a spot for both the souvenir sheet and individual stamp. Are the individuals really different or could I just get two souvenir sheets and trim one down to the perfs? Thanks.

This only applies for the last few years (the sheet stamps weren't self adhesive until 2018). the backing paper inscriptions are different, so singles from the sheet and the souvenir sheet can still be distinguished. Used stamps or stamps removed from the backing paper cannot be distinguished (per Scott footnotes).

You may be falling into the trap of the album makers rather than collecting what *you* want to collect and the way you want to collect it.

The stamps from the pane of 20 are different from that of the dollar bill size, until they are removed from the backing paper, as previously mentioned. Trimming a stamp will fill your space, but it's not the actual "single" stamp.
