Sak, naw, knowing that everyone was busy working on their collections does not make me an expert.
Seriously though, not being a specialist in any one given subject/area can leave anyone vulnerable, especially in making a purchase, by making an error or wrong assumption/opinion on material sold by others.
I have learned through years of collecting, asked questions and others their professional opinions, and read a lot about the subject matter; and learning in this great community and I continue to be surprised by the breath and width of knowledge out there that collectors have specialised in and are willing to share. My hats off to them for their tireless hours of work and attention to detail that make it look easy when they create a compilation or book on the subject. I have collected/purchased at auctions and sales/possibly hoarded a hugh amount of different material and spent from pennies to thousands over the past 43 years and I am still continiusly learning something new each day.
So in closing this rambling, I just like to mention that in no way do I profess to be an expert, but do greatly enjoy this hobby. It will be interesting to note if someone does purchase it!
