The Kelleher auction closing 1/14/23 has this on offer:

Quote:
Never Feel Unhinged Again, cheaper than a therapist: a massive holding of over 100,000 hinges from various makers, with most packages unopened; we see no visible signs of water damage or dampness, and a spot check of opened packages show hinges that are ready to use, but we can't vouch for how they were all stored prior to arrival here; even if 10% are bad, retail into the thousands of dollars, this is a steal at our opening. Shipping charges apply - weight 4.8 lbs.

I could always use hinges. But seemed kind of a high open to me. Maybe some of the packages are very high-quality hinges? Or at least higher than what is currently commercially available? I did not see any Dennison packs in photo.

Lot is opening at 200, so would take a start bid of 225 plus 20% commission. So about 2.70 per pack of 1000 not counting shipping or sales tax.
You can buy Supersafe from Amos at 2.56 per pack of 1000, and if order 75 dollars of supplies, no shipping cost. Of course, quality of glue and hinge is not the best.
