Canada Post / Cibc Atm Stamps

I just searched this topic and there were questions around whene and why cancelled about Canad Post and CIBC issuing stamps through and ATM. I was involved in the pilot program for Canada Post and have the framed one of the first sheets dispenses that day and 2 first day covers. The following are the answers:

- The project was the first and only time stamps were issues in and ATM in Canada
- The first day the stamps were issued was April 14,1998
- The pilot was not successful due to the problems with the bank cassettes and the stamps not working properly and the long term viability of the program.

My wife and I travelled to one of the CIBC ATMs in Toronto and bought a couple of panes.

Must be the Nr.1696, 45 cents rate till 1998-12-31.

One of mine dated near the end of the rate.

Did you notice the error on the cancel?
It should read "postal code postal", no e at the end of postal.

Is it possible the person who made up the device lettering translated it to Italian! We will never know

I imagine that's just a bilingual slogan.

In french: code postal et case postale.
In english: postal code and PO box.
