I was just browsing the web and saw an interesting video on stamps and thought others might enjoy as well.

I am not adept at computing, so no website attached. You will have to do your own search.

Just google/search 'Bill Barrell valuing a stamp collection video' or similar wording.

It is British and is about Great Britain, but the process would be same with any collection. It is a clear, audible and interesting.

I've actually watched this video and enjoyed it. My impression was that it was useful for "no I don't want to buy this," which is around 95% of collections, or "yes I do want to buy it."

That said he doesn't really get into how he decides what to pay for a decent/good collection. Perhaps he figures the seller will have an idea of what they want.

Like many of the more reputable dealers in the UK, Bill Barrell used to work at Stanley Gibbons before starting his own stamp business.

At the bottom is a Stanley Gibbon video on this topic I think I posted before.
