Scott 599 Coil Carmine Lake And What Plate Number?

I have these stamps on a cover and I think they are carmine lake. So I have them next to other carmine stamps for comparison. Also I have a close up of the plate number . I think 15871 or 16677. leaning toward 15871.

The comparison should be between your cover and other 599's.

The comparison here is against sheet stamps where Scott lists:
554 in carmine, light carmine, and deep claret,
583 in carmine and deep carmine, and
634 in carmine, carmine red, and carine rose.
Thus I would suggest an impossible apples and oranges task, (not to mention the variability of scanners, software and monitors),

here is the stamps on cover compared to 5 other 599s.
