Would someone mind posting a scan of their #280 4c Rose Brown next to their #280a 4c Lilac Brown please, taken together? I'd like to see the color difference.

Please note that comparing separate digital images has limited (if any) value. How the images were scanned/generated, how it was saved, what monitor you are viewing it on, etc all impact how a digital image is seen.

Also I do not think that Seigel images are a good color reference at all, they were done over time and they have not been consistent in how the images were generated. For example;

I think that Scott's image above, has some value in the sense that it is single scan and at least there can be a relative comparison between them.
