I would like to show you some of my French stamps with the design of Marianne de Dacaris, canceled in several years. They are very beautiful stamps and have many variants as can be seen in the photos. I have started to find some information and I really find these stamps very interesting. The first of my canceled copies from 1963 has a magnificent shine under UV light, with a reddish tone like an ember, and in the last pair you can see a continuity of printing between the two stamps, which also seem to be still uncompleted.

I'm in agreement with you in finding this Decaris Marianne design interesting.
Decaris had a unique style in both his designs and engravings, very distinct no
question.
These definitives were printed via typography which was then the cheapest and fastest
way to print stamps therefore the printer didn't spend much in their production.
I have no idea of the total quantity printed but it must have been hundreds of millions if
not a couple of billion and that would account for the numerous varieties.

This is a perfect example of how much fun one can have in studying basically worthless (in value) stamps.

Here are my Marianne de Decaris
