Kyle B - The albums were purchased as new albums, a variety of auction wins and a few inherited along with some that I cannot recall where I got them.
General response - I would classify this as mildly strong in pre 1940 but as to be expected there are a lot of holes. Mountings are Scott mounts for MNH and semi rare, all others are just regular stamp hinges. All International albums are Scott pages post 1940 and Steiner pages for all 1940 and earlier. I also used Steiner for a lot of post 1980 countries and all the Olympian specialty countries.
I really don't overly concern myself with value of the collection. I collect for the enjoyment. Having said that there are maybe 350 or so that will catalog in the $100 - $500 range and just a few higher. As a guesstimate, a few thousand in the $50 to $100 range but as most of you are aware catalog value is not a true number hardly ever.
I think that is responses to the latest round of inquires. Happy to answer any additional.

I would also like to add that I am in no way a professional or expert on stamp collecting and rely heavily, when ever I get stuck, on those on this forum that are.
Many thanks to all of you who help!!!

Amazing evidence of a collecting life well lived. Hopefully, this effort will be treasured by later generations of your family and added to by them in future years. Go ahead and pass on to other family members some of your leftovers in hopes of getting them active in our hobby.

Very nice. Ok, so now that you are "done" except for some cosmetic binder issues, what's next? I worked on several different countries, and then decided to specialize in only a few countries. Made a bit of money (mostly through tax deductions on donations) and now my shelves are a lot less crowded. Where to next?

Partime - Similar to you I am going forward with special countries, but ones that we have traveled to, with a goal of at least 75% completion. Why 75%? $$$$ and the reality of no chance of getting to one of the other posts here about "Pushing 330,000 all different". Now that's an incredible collection. Closely watching auctions for single country collections on those and selling duplicates.
Thanks for your comment on tax deductions. An 18-20% reduction in taxable income is likely more than can be realized on ebay etc. sales.

Nice to see your collection , once it get to a certain point a person forgets what they have for sure and sometimes ends up buying stuff they already have . But the drive to improve the collection and enjoy your free time is the most important thing .
