I need your help in identifying the Plate and Positions of the following two (2) SC#26s, so I can write-up this cover.

I've provided close-ups of what I believe are the significant identifying positions of each stamp; they reside between the vertical perf-line and I have pointed these out with green arrows. Please advise if additional scans are required.

Thanks in advance for you help.

Regards,
Hal

You need to post better images of the stamps but even that may not be enough. These were most likely printed from from one of the scarce, early plates and may be impossible to plate.

Here are full size. One in color and one in B/W.

Hope this helps in the identification process.

Thanks,
Hal

Knowing that Winston is already on this topic, I see that the frame lines are very crooked, especially at the top, and I can see gaps.

Wouldn't these stamps both be 26A, not 26?

Ray

Hal, Your images are slightly better but not clear enough to accurately ID the relief and position. They are currently at 350dpi and need to be 1200dpi or higher.
