In my opinion, the stamps don't really look so ugly or dirty for have to intervene...it is true that they are not shiny but they are almost 200 year old stamps...I think that their age is more noticeable than terrible dirt or stains that need be cured. Placed in my album, well organized and with their personalized printed labels for each stamp, I assure you that they look impressive...not a little impressive but a lot, I am hypnotized when I see them. The last cleaning intervention that I carried out on a stamp from this time (which did not have the approval of this our community, although I think it saved the life of that soldier), I did it because the stamp was terribly rusty, it could go to worse and could also infect the rest...I don't see these as bad enough to have to intervene...As I said, they are more older than dirty...
