Does anyone know this Japanese stamp? I can't find it... could it be a tax? Sorry, the photo is the only one I have available...

According to Google Lens it is a "raw silk tax stamp"

Hi, this is a cut off of Japanese silk revenue, issued in 1874. The earlier issue (1873) is in red - you can find more details in the thread below.
