Hi all,

I have this Upper Silesia partial sheet with shifted overprint, as shown below (Scott # 10), and would like some advice on how to best to trade something specialized like this.

I am not a German-area expert or anything, but near as I can tell, it is Upper Silesia Michel 10 with the overprint shifted variety, as well as many other varieties.

My numbers on the varieties may be a bit off, but I counted 40x 10 XIV ("Pf." above instead of below "5", top 4 rows), of which one is also 10VII (without dot after "Pf., row 4, column 5), and which 4 others are 10XV (high "H", a flaw of the underlying stamp where the hatching above the "20" is broken", column 9), as well as unlisted varieties of the bottom row (10x "Pf." without "5") of which one is also the "high H" variety in column 9. Also may be an unlisted variety similar to 11XVII (large blue color spot under "2" of "20", row 2, column 4). There's also some color spots near the 20 on the stamp in row 5, column 2, but I did not notice a similar listed variety. Near as I can tell, by just assigning the CV of 1 variety per stamp, or the base stamp for unlisted varieties, the Michel CV could be 900+ Euros. That doesn't factor in there being multiple varieties on some stamps, and that there are multiple overprint types present (Ia, IIIa, IIIb, IIAa, IVa, IVb), as well as Michel-listed vertical and horizontal pairs and the printing numbers.

I would like to look into trading it for used stamps that I collect, but am unsure what is the best route for something this specialized, which could possibly be good for study or an exhibit? Would a Private collector be the best "bang" for the buck? Or would an interested collector be too difficult to find, and a Dealer would be a better bet, even though they would offer less trading value?

Any recommendations or ideas are appreciated on how best to handle it!
