I always liked those Malayan stamps. They make a very colourful display.

Minor point: should that not be Trengganu as on the page?

They're some of my favourites. They seem to go well in auctions - interest in both Malaysia and China. Almost all of the duplicates I've sold on ebay have gone to one of the two.

It should indeed!

Among my all-time favorites, especially the definitives issued in the 1930's. I have most of them now but some have become extremely elusive and expensive. There is a seller in the UK who has many of these sets, however he wants more than full Gibbons for them. They don't seem to sell at those prices.

Note that the 2 stamps Edziu posted are based on the Straits Settlements sets of the early 1930s to 1940s. Singapore also used this design for it's first definitive.

I found it difficult to pick up auction lots. Most of my material came from a couple I won, where a previous collector had bought at auction, pulled the stuff he needed, and put them back in. You could still see where the expensive stamps had been. Surplus for him, good for me!
