I did look through the American Air Mail Society's journals, and didn't see any reference to fights on these dates. Because the covers seem to have been made by or for collectors, but were not First Flights, does anyone have any idea why they would have been created?

At the time, they would have been at least somewhat unusual, especially with the war going on.
