Was Hagersten a separate town before becoming a part of Stockholm? If so, when was it absorbed into Stockholm?

Hägersten is a former borough and current district of Stockholm. The district covers an area of 6.25 square kilometres and has a population of around 30,000. On 1 January 2007, the former boroughs of Hägersten and Liljeholmen were incorporated into the newly formed borough of Hägersten-Liljeholmen.
