Hello everyone,

can anyone shed some light on these, they appear similar to the 1863 issue but are on tinted transparent paper, almost like grease proof paper. they have hinge remnants but they maybe back to front?
thanks

Hi.
They both are from 1863.
the left stamp appears to be _scott 5.
the right stamp is a postage due stamp_ scott j2 (forgery? the bottom scroll characters are not conform)
Thin paper types are normal.. The images of the stamps you show are reveresd
.

They are both the dues... I agree on the 1pi, the text in blue doesn't look right. There are three different paper colors defined for the dues. The 5pi regular postage has a lighter red color to the paper than the any of the dues.

Yes ,I fully agree with the opinions of
floortrader and perf12 ,unfortunately they look like old forgeries. The design and the paper are slightly different from the original, you could compare it with an authentic stamp and you will see the difference. If you want you could visit stampforgeries website ,they have many pictures showing
such stamps.
