It looks like you have a start on a beginning European collection. Since you have been collecting them for some time, what do you want to do with them?

There are no rules in stamp collecting!

You can organize and mount them in many ways. You can learn about the countries and where these stamps fit in. Many local libraries have worldwide stamp catalogs, so you can research them. Also, there is StampSmarter.org which has a wealth of stamp information. Check it out!

You can enjoy the stamps and add to them to extend your collection, or you can donate them to many organizations.

Cheers!

1-2 cents/stamp on a lucky day, if you find takers. But you're not allowed to trade until you reach 50 posts.

If you put [ I m g ] (without the spaces) in front of the link to your picture and [ / I m g ] (again, without the spaces) behind it, the picture will show in your post.

Here is the information on the Irish stamps I gave you yesterday.

The stamps are quite common.

The Irish stamps on the top row were designed by Heinrich Gerl and known as 'Gerls.' They depict early Irish art (6th - 8th century), although the designer did allow himself some artistic freedom. They come in pre-decimal currency, like the first, '1/-', and decimal currency. They had an 'e' watermark. Later versions of the decimal stamps do not have a watermark.

You can identify the pre-decimal and decimals from the use of a 'p' on the lowest pre-decimal values. The decimal stamps no longer have the 'p' after the face value. The higher values have shilling values with a solidus.

There are a few varieties that have a reasonable catalogue price and there are many paper and gum - not very useful for used stamps - varieties.

The Gerls were current between 1968 and 1982. Except for the 1/-, your stamps appear to be decimals.

The first two stamps on the second row commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Gaelic League (Conradh na Gaeilge) in 1893. The stamps are from 1943 and won't break the bank.

The first stamp is a later commemorative. I would have to get my Hibernian out to tell you the year it was issued. But that one is quite common as well.

I shall leave the Italian stamps for someone with knowledge on those, but they are common as well.
