This two stamps are being offered for a substantial sum at a large website.
The seller points in the description of the product that he suspects that the stamps could be genuine. It is just interesting for me to know souldn't the canel be different than the one which is used on the stamp at left ?
Sorry about the quality, these photos were upload by the seller in his add.

Yes. The four existing unused 2d 'Post Office' blues are accounted for. There is no further stamp.
The same is true for the 1s reds on the invitations.

It seems that there are more forgeries of all the early Mauritius stamps than there are genuine copies.

If the seller "suspects that the stamps could be genuine" he should send them in to get certificates so that he can get top dollar at auction. Otherwise all he can hope for is for some chump to pay a handsome sum to fill the space in his album, to the disappointment of his heirs when it comes time to sell.

I love the 'suspicion' they are genuine.

I also tink that the purpose is to find a new owner ,who may want to pay such high price only to have in his collection such rare stamps, but as all similar to this adds there is catch.
I should apologize, I had not been correct in my quote, he doesn't say that he has suspicion that they are genuine this only my interpretation.
It is interesting to mention that the add is being followed by one member of the website when ,actually they are being offered as they were bought by the seller -reproductions .
In the short description made it is pointed that because they do not have any document with which he can prove his claims ,he is selling them as" it was offered to him " off course on much lower price than the real one.
I'm also surprised ,why would he bother to put them at add at internet when he could receive a document and sell them were he wants if there is no catch?
Here is a link to the original add-

The stamps are actually being offered as insanely priced reproductions and I believe as is:

siehe Scans , see scans, they look great, but with no special expertise, offered as reproductions as it was.

Did he actually say he "suspects that the stamps could be genuine"? Talk about weasel words! This immunizes him from your demanding your money back. After all, he only said that he "suspects" they're genuine, not that they are genuine. If he suspects they're real, then he sends them to an expertizer to have that confirmed. That he can't be bothered to do that tells you all you need to know about what would be very valuable stamps -- if they were real. Which they aren't.

He is asking € 55,702 and describes them as shermae posted.

The listing is

'! rare red + blue Mauritius stamps, die rote und blaue Mauritius Post Office, Ile de Maurice, RRR +'

At the bottom of the listing, however, you can read:

That 'RRR +' says it all. You need to scroll down to see what is going on.
