Newfoundland Stamps Cross Refence Between Scott And Walsh Nmbering Systems

Hi,

I am new to collecting Newfoudnland stamps. WHen I look at the Soctt catalog there numbering system is diffeent than the Walsh numberng system

That aid, does there exist and where can I find it: a cross refencwe table of the two numbering systems

Well, yes. That's why one is Scott and the other is Walsh. I'm not aware of a concordance between the two. Have you considered starting with Scott or Unitrade, and then moving over to Walsh once you've gotten most/all of the "basic" types?

It can be found in the Walsh Newfoundland ecatalogues. www.nfldstamps.com

Also, in case you get further confused:

There is another catelog called Unitrade. It mirrors the Scott numbering.

Both are not as comprehensive or detailed and don't change much. Therefore since the Walsh catalog is more detailed, it has to have a different and more expansive numbering. For example, look at the number of entries for Newfoundland.
