I am going over this series of flower definitives and I am trying to figure out which stamps I have!!

for example with 2129:
1st printing: 7.00-7.70 on Fasson
2nd printing 7.00-7.70 on TRC
3rd printing: 7.20-9.30 on Fasson

for the first two it's pretty simple an inscription gutter will take care of that. But is there a way to distinguish printing 1 from 3? If I had a whole plate, perhaps but what if I have just a couple...

I've counted the perforation peaks but it leaves me rather uncertain...
I'm noticing that one of the coils has a darker/bolder "89" is that a way to distinguish them apart?

I've checked out some online resources but to no avail.
any help is appreciated.

You may want to check out Robin Harris website at adminware.ca for additional information on the particular series your discussing.
Since he is also the Unitrade catalogue editor, he has compiled quite an assortment of very informative and educational material regarding Canadian issues.

thank you!
I think this will be very helpful, if rather time consuming.

I was able to identify them using the "Lowe-Martin" pdf above. Thank you for the suggestion. It turns out the item with the thicker "89" is not a different printing after all. They are, from left to right: 2129ii (centre inscription), 2129i (high inscription), 2129 strip of 4, and 2129i (high inscription)
I did have a 2129vii (later printing) but unless one measures the perfs there is no obvious way to tell them apart.

thank you for your help
