Earlier in this topic you provided images of some Postal Notes. If not too much trouble, could you please post close-up images of the Type I (yellow) Postal Notes in the area of the plate position letter and plate number? This is just below the "Fee Three Cents" vignette. I need to study the plate position letters (A through H) and the plate numbers (1, 2, 3, . . .)
This will help with my plate study regarding EKU and LKU of the printing plates.
I got a laugh from title's "1880-S-1890-S" formatting care & effort, when 1st post confirmed simpler "1880s-1890s" (less use of having to hold down 'Caps Lock,' etc.) And for digital searching posterity, don't think it matters. My chuckle comes from the extraneous dash and capital S making them look like ubiquitous numismatic references to two coins from the San Francisco mint! Ironic, then, that postal notes do have some relation to numismatics... even if a 'stretch' given possible lofty valuations and certain mintages of certain precious metal coins (i.e., gold) of the same period.
