I have this pane of (8) imperf, no gum, looks like SC146. I can't find it anywhere in the Specialized Scott catalog. I don't think it's an essay proof, but not 100% certain.
Reply to John Becker. I believe you were correct. The block of 8 imperf proofs of SC146 looks like Scott # 146P3 listed in the chapter that covers "TRIAL COLOR, DIE AND PLATE PROOFS". I found it in my Scott 2017 Specialized Catalog on pg.900. Thanks for your help. Gene Tjomas
