I am pretty certain that these are examples of Machine Printed postage labels, rather than true postage stamps. These were in a box lot purchased recently and, again, almost certainly very modern, at a guess about ten years old.

I have seen very similar items from a lot of European countries in particular but have never really paid much attention to them. These, with their consistent topical theme, have left me with a couple of questions. Firstly, what exactly are they and what is their function? Secondly, when were they produced?

If this topic has been covered before, what terminology should I be using to search. Postage labels does not get me very far. And I notice that it does not show on the scan but each has cut perforations around it to be peeled from the backing paper.

They are computer generated stamps, not labels

Check with your Unitrade, I am pretty sure the Canadian ones are listed
