Hello all, any informations or ideas about these stamps and why there are cancelled with a "WASHINGTON " postmark? Even though they are from confederate states. And if there is another Washington in the south why would they called it Washington?? TIA

Nearly every state in the Confederacy had a Washington, Washington Court House, Washington Crossroads, etc. That is where I would start rather than Washington, DC.
