Seems awfully bright white. Could it be real?

The brightness is likely from a "cleaning" with something containing peroxide (like ERNI stain/mildew remover).

Do you have a UV light? Many cleaners make the paper glow in UV.

I don't actually have the stamp, but considering purchase. It's just so much whiter than other examples that it seems suspicious.

So this could be a B/W scan or digitally exposure-enhanced or whatever?
The only way to find out for sure is to ask the seller as the image here has little context for us other than speculations and guesses.

New pics. Color looks better. Looks like a small sealed tear at left. Not sure about right side perforations. I can ask.

One quick screening tool is to use the stamp as its own sample and compare the perforations on opposite sides for gauge, hole size/shape, etc. I offer no opinion, just these images:

Why deal with someone who doesn't disclose something like a sealed tear?

I've purchased from this person before. Very happy so far. With this item, I happen to think it's really nice to look at. Perhaps I can get close to a space filler price.
