It's 1890, rather than 1925.

Pshann, Usage is 1890 i.e. 25th May (or March?) 1890.

It is surely March. I don't recall seeing anything but MA and MY.

Given that the 25th of May, 1890 was a Sunday and the 25th March was a Tuesday, it May well be March

The other abbreviation for March found on the squared circle postmarks of South Australia is MR:

MA vs MR vs MY
Regardless of whether the clerk used the correct month's abbreviation from their tray of the date slugs, the message on the reverse is clearly dated as "March" and indicates some immediacy. I vote the intent being March.
