Give it a look and just watch for 30 seconds

I have just looked at the Traders Page for the first time yesterday , sorry I am so slow.

There was no cat or dog there and no other stamps traded places with each other or anything special happened, except I felt really good looking at the stamps displayed.

Oh, wait, you mean at the top of the page, the header stamps? Yes, well, Bee See's dog deserves the place of honour. My grey Japan cat is a borrowed pic, not so personal not memorable.

How does the page work? whose stamps are whose? There is no explanation for slow people like me (at times) (don't you just love the sometimes word!).

Ah, I see you are still pondering ways to do it. Hmmm I have never used a trading site before. Hmmm, people's emails should be their choice of whether to publicly display or not I think. I really don't want mine shown everywhere, if only for the reason my spam email will suddenly increase. Not sure how to do that. Refer them to SCF maybe?

I think everyone would have ideas of what is fair or reasonable and wish to get what they wanted in trade. I am happy to get anything and everything myself but some may not be.

Oh, the cover of the fish and woman fisherman(woman?) came today. Nice. Thank you. What envelope size is that? Different, longer than #6-3/4 and shorter than #10? Nice paper, is it a European (Metric) or Japanese size?

At the bottom under other labels are a Santa and a Cupid on a Heart that I have never seen new of used.

I do not know. I started an exploration into the greetings stamps some time ago but did not continue it.

Bee See started a thread on them a while ago but not all booklets or labels are there either.

Looks like maybe a special Christmas issue of stickers or something. Special occasions? I can't find them in my 2005 Unitrade catalogue.

Puzzler: I have been using the traders page to show the recent additions hence the title Recent Additions. I thought it would be nice to show the new ones so you didn't have to root through every page to see if anything has been added. The Explanations are with the stamps in their location in the catalog. I got some stamps and covers from Peter in Toronto that makes up the bulk of the new ones. I may have a few more tomorrow we shall see.
Cheers
Murray
PS: the envelop was from a Xmas card - it's all I got except company envelopes from 10 years ago wit ancient return addresses.

Puzzler: I chatted for some time with the President of Canada Post today - and he specifically mentioned Picture Postage as a postal item that he thought was great - but that had not been effectively marketed. You may see some activity in this area.....and yes, you heard it here first.

Is this the new guy? After the lady jumped over the pond to save jolly olde England from herself?

I am curious to see changes in marketing myself.

As one, I would like to see the Picture Postage have some sort of list available to collectors something like Austria Post has for their personalized stamps. Austria stamps have a wide following.

Kind of makes Austria stamps an investment and Picture Postage a has been, huh? Something to think about.

But he was probably thinking of other things than collectors.

Thanks for mentioning it.

edit : hey, does he collect stamps?

There's nothin' like having the BidStart (dot com) girl to promote Picture Postage stamps (and Stamps dot com stamps too).

This is her posing as Audrey Hepburn. Classic.

Thanks to rallymann for the double stamped cover!

I would not be surprised if Canada Post changes the Picture Postage design soon, to allow a larger photo.

Puzzler - yeah the new guy. Amazingly friendly. I didn't ask if he was a collector.....perhaps that would be asking too much. Name is Deepak Chopra - he exudes confidence.

Sorry Rally, I forgot about that

The valentines and Christmas were produce by Canada Post in the mid 1990's and sold in franchise post offices, I did get a sheet of the Christmas back then.

There was another produce for the city of Hamilton and another for the Ottawa Senators hockey team, but I don't know if they were official. I will have to dig through my records.

I did get these four in a wad of used greetings I got on ebay last year.
