Rallymanm shows a picture (above) of the stamp under the Turtles stamp. It is indeed a strange object -- hard not to call it a stamp, though. (It looks like a stamp and quacks like a stamp.) Taking heed as he suggested, I soaked off the stamp from the cardboard and placed a patch of wax paper over the revealed stamp to dry. Alas, the the colours on the cardboard faded and the wax paper stuck to the cardboard! I should have steamed it, I guess, as he suggested. I wonder what it's made of. I mean, the stamps are self-stick. Maybe the glue stays behind on the cardboard? If so, perhaps it is best to just let it air dry with no press. Perhaps the glue never dries out! Oh well, I'm off to see if I can get some more of them. They're half price now, I think. PS. the Turtles stamp comes off nicely in very hot water. |

1) It appears that all the Turtles boxes have been recalled. 2) The glue indeed never dries out, it seems, so I'm not sure how the under-stamp can be collected.

What the heck does POCON stand for? Post Office Challenges Odious Numbskulls? Lets have a contest - who can create the best interpretation. Puzzler is the judge but he can also enter so he probably will win. The first prize is supper with Marin from Gibraltar Postal Service. Cheers Murray |

RCAF, Royal Canadian Air Force, Comet 1A (guessing at model), on a Canada 2001 Picture Postage stamp, silver metal style framing, with a denomination of 'Domestic Letermail' or otherwise No Value Indicated (NVI).
