Several thoughts come to mind:
1. I can't tell where you are looking to do your stamp ID, but hopefully in a Scott catalog, nor what Scott number you have determined it to be (should be U385).
2. ebay should be used with a grain of salt. The price of active listings means virtually nothing since you could offer your own item for 10 cents or $10million. The more important resource on ebay is the sold listings page. I am not seeing any $19K listing.
3. This is an extremely common work-horse design, in all its variants. A cut square with a very narrow margin at the left is worth less than a forever stamp to mail it to someone. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

Try the United Postal Stationery Society, www.upss.org.
They sell several inexpensive ebooks that were extremely helpful for identifying the cut squares I've come across. Catalog values are included. Sadly the thing I quickly learned was that without the entire envelope, cut squares can be hard to nail down to an exact ID. Still recommend though.

Good luck!

Tons of these on Hipstamp for $0.15 to $1.00. Not worth selling individually.
