Hi, Rosie,

Your stamp was a workhorse stamp from the 1920s. Overall, over six billion of the stamps were issued. Several varieties of the stamp exist, with differing perforation gauges, for example. Some were also issued in coil format, but your stamp was not. You can read about all the varieties at the link below.
