The typeface of the RIS overprint differs between these two copies of Scott #352a. Can anyone provide insight?

Dear Johnconn

According to my old Indonesia catalogue (Prangko 1997), the stamp on the right is the one with the official overprint. The left-hand stamp could be a stamp with an unofficial local overprint. Or a forgery. This is not clear from the catalogue.
