My Suid-Afrida Scott 57e (?) has "10c" above the postmark. Could it be part of the postmark, or is it some sort of surcharge?
I cannot find any reference within my catalog of such an overprint.
Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks for your reply. Could you tell me your source please? My catalog (Scott 1b -2021)
shows nothing for British East Africa beyond 1901. I tried internet search, no joy.
Thank you

Thanks Peter! Looks like a little geographical history study on my part would of solved the search. That item was nicely buried!
KUT Scott 87b.

If you hadn't noticed, also under the postmark:

KENYA
TANGANYIKA
UGANDA

in black print.

On first working it my eyes just glazed over it, that killer postmark sure did not help.
Once you folks helped me out and I got to the right country(s) then my software showed it quite nicely.
