One Cent stamps, George Washington

These may be faked. Probably faked. But neither my dad nor grandfather and grandmother would have (likely) done it.

I see on the right stamp, maybe right side of stamp is wavy? As from trimming?

I see on the left stamp, maybe the print is angled? From trimming?

More expert eyes have any opinion?

What is the exact measurement I should have if these were untrimmed, or is that not known?

Yes, these were form an inherited collection, but originally from my grandmothers' drawer in her house. Very likely she kept them all through the move west and the depression. She was born in 1893, moved from Missouri to California in 1933. Doubt they had money to buy stamps often, but then again, she gave me these and old silver dollars she kept 70+ years.

Thank you for any additional information.

Very unlikely to be genuine, the imperf margins are much too small.

The imperfed sides on both "coils" are clearly not parallel.
Next time use a black background (much better contrast) and higher resolution images/scans. There might be traces of perf holes still visible but it is hard to tell from the image.

Thank you revcollector and drkohler for your insight.

I did not expect these to be authentic, but getting better information always helps.

I will use black background next time I scan something I may have questions about. I'm not sure I have a higher dpi setting on my scanner.

V/R, Jon
