Hello !
I have this Austrian stamp from 1850 (i think) but I heard that there is a reprint with another watermark from 1854.
I don't have anything to verify the watermark for now but do you think it's possible to know if it's a reprint or not without checking the watermark ?
If yes, could you please tell me which type is it ?
Thanks !
CS

I will render an opinion. Your stamp is Scott 3 issued in 1850. Why? Because of the margin sizes which appear greater than 1.5mm and the design appearing to be Type I. You may not detect a watermark since it was only in the gutter between panes. The other watermark you mention occurs on reprints, but I believe that they are Type III which would rule that out. Hopefully an Austria expert comes along to add to the discussion.
