At $29.03 + $5.45 shipping + sales tax with a few hours left to go.

Look closely at the design.

Worth at MOST $5, typically found for $2-3 each.

Alas, this is nothing new. Many collectors simply do not really know how to look at a stamp, and do not know how to read a catalog. Let alone seeing "falsch" in the design of a newspaper stamp. Which is why I have seen such things as postcards listed as used with some rare and valuable stamp which is cancelled months or even years before that rare stamp was even issued. Now if the collector knows the catalog number involved, they should be able to see the issue date as well, but they don't.

Went for $51. High bidder has just (2) feedback, the underbidder has (22) feedback.

I can forgive newbie collectors for this oversight, but the seller is an experienced stamp dealer with (57,218) 99.9% positive feedback. Shame on them for not seeing this.

That said, new collectors (or probably just new to online shopping), shouldn't be spending real money in an area they are obviously not very familiar with.

I suspect that a lot of collectors would be amazed at the relative lack of knowledge that many "experienced stamp dealers" possess. Some are pretty good in one or two areas, but think they know more than they actually do. And others........

Not to excuse the bad listing, but I believe stamp "seller" is probably more appropriate than stamp "dealer".

According to their website, sells multiple collectibles from a retail store and ebay (comics, coins, bullion, stamps, etc) but doesn't appear to be a member of any professional organization. Business model is probably quantity over quality.
